Racing and Development, R.A.D.

R.A.D. is a season-long program that meets every Saturday from 1/6 through 2/24. This 8-week program is all about confidence, courage, and commitment with a focus on developing high-end skiing skills that enhance racing potential and elevate all-mountain abilities.

 

Whether you're an aspiring racer, a current racer eager for extra coaching, or you want to conquer challenging slopes on your skiing adventures, R.A.D. is for you. Explore ski racing fundamentals, engage in gate training, and hone your technique. High mileage is the order of the day, and you'll leave with newfound speed and control, all while having a blast with our awesome coaches. Get ready for speed, turn experimentation, one-ski skiing, and dynamic carving. It's a program designed to push boundaries!

Important info:​

• Participants must be able to ski parallel on blue terrain, possess up-to-date equipment, and wear a helmet. Racing suits and race skis are not required.

• Please be sure to select the correct program for the ability level of your child. Underestimating the ability level of your child is much easier to adjust for rather than overestimating their ability level.  Children who do not meet the required minimum ability level for R.A.D. will be moved to other programs or lessons based on availability. • Please be ready to go on the snow on the Chairlift side of the Rental & Snowsports Barn for R.A.D. meet up at 9:15 am. You’re late? We won’t wait; you will need to wait at a designated lift for the group to come down and meet you on the next run. This time will not be rescheduled, nor will a refund/credit be given.

• Our R.A.D. coaches are all professional adults with extensive race experience and are certified with PSIA and/or USSA.
